A trip to Paris for the weekend. We drove down Friday night--took 8 hours, since we got rather lost once we got into the city. Along the way, we ate at a rest stop. They had wonderful panini and a fabulous strawberry tart. You never get fast food like that in the U.S.!
They didn't speak English, so Bob made motions indicating a napkin. We did know how to say, "Merci".
In the morning, we walked from the hotel to the Eiffel tower, along the Seine River and to the Louvre. I took this picture early on. It was well into the afternoon before we got to the Louvre--we got our exercise that day!
